Senior Physiotherapist

Since graduating from AUT in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy Matt has worked extensively in the musculoskeletal field. After four years of private practice here in Auckland Matt departed for Ireland and the UK where he worked for five years in both professional sport and private practice.

With a keen interest in sports medicine Matt took up a position with the Scottish Rugby Union as the physiotherapist to the ‘A’ team and was involved with the Under 20’s six nations and world cup campaigns. Matt has also been the physiotherapist to the world Tae Kwan Do and British boxing champions, professional cycling teams, and consulting physiotherapist to golfers on the European tour and Scottish premier league football teams.

Matt has a special interest in manipulative therapy, muscle balance and biomechanics, specializing in resolving complex issues that have previously been resilient to treatment.

In his spare time Matt enjoys mountain biking, multi-sport, snowboarding and yachting.
